Because most new sales managers are recent sales representatives, losing them to turnover can be extremely costly. Not only are you losing a new manager; you have lost a sales representative with proven abilities.
XRoads21 (“Crossroads 21”) is designed to stop sales leadership turnover before it starts by allowing sales representatives and their leaders to determine whether the path of sales or the path of leadership is best for the candidate and the company. Through this program sales representatives can:
- Experience an honest and realistic picture of the sales leader’s role on a no-risk basis
- Self select in or out
- Provide samples of their work to the company before a commitment is made
During this program, sales representatives and their sponsoring managers collaborate to complete 16 experiential activities in major task areas. This enables both parties to have a performance-based view of the role.
